My picture books stem from questions and poetry from reflections. My mission is to craft compelling nonfiction, informational fiction, and stories that inspire curiosity for a better world. My vision is to contribute books that provide moments of wonder. I ink my thinking in handmade journals by Je Suis Remy Uglow.
I currently serve as the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) Wisconsin Publications Promotions Co-Chair. I am a member of the Writing Barn’s Courage to Create, the International Literacy Association (ILA), the Wisconsin State Reading Association (WSRA), 12 X 12 Picture Book Challenge, the Storyteller Academy, and amazing picture book critique groups.
